Propeller Talk
To think this is for the Dec/Jan 2012 Propeller Magazine - where has the year gone?
At our last club meeting of the year, we didn't advertise a guest speaker because it's a night for club members to come along and share fishing stories and to share the Brag Board winners for 2011. In 2012 I am proposing a greater species list than currently as to better represent the regular catches of members.
No doubt you will have had a look at your member's survey. We have to plan many indoor and outdoor activities for the next year and you can help us by taking this opportunity to have your say. Please fill them in and get them back to the Secretary by the closing date. Many thanks.
Congratulations to the guys who went down and competed for the club at Burrinjuck Dam in November at the annual ANSA convention. For the small number that went (in comparison to some of the other clubs) the Sea Bees did exceptionally well, ranking 3rd overall in the club category! Congratulations also to Patrick Sinclair who came 1st and 2nd for the highest point scoring native fish Junior. Definitely one for the calendar next year.
I would like to thank all those guest speakers and members who gave their time during 2011 to come to the club to give our members a talk on their speciality and make it a great night. It is very much appreciated.
Finally to those people in the club that volunteer their time during the year to assist (be it outing coordinators, bbq helpers, club room help etc). Every little bit helps and I thank you, your efforts are what is needed to keep on making the Sea Bees a great fishing club.
We should all look forward to a great 2012. Whilst 2011 was a great year for the club with many achievements achieved, we should aim even higher for next year. Wishing you and your families a safe and happy Christmas and holiday season and until next year...
