Fishing & Boating News

JANUARY Propeller Talk - Welcome back after the Christmas / New Year break. Hope you all had a great holiday and we look forward to those fishy and holiday destination stories. Maybe you could share your experience by writing a short story and hand over to Laurie Brown or Michael Markich for the propeller magazine, or even post your stories on the sea bee’s web site / forum – outing reports.

Max has posted the Parliamentary Fishing Inquiry on the web site forum, see under “boat shed”. Closing date announced for submissions is 19/3/2010. This is your opportunity to have YOUR say about many issues covered in the Terms of Reference (also on the web site and listed below) which cover Marine Parks, Saltwater and Freshwater issues and the current fishing licence management arrangements involving the Trust Funds and Advisory Council of Recreational Fishing. You have the opportunity to raise the good points and the issue you are not happy with in regard to recreational fishing. I can’t recall this type of inquiry occurring before so this is a great opportunity to have a say! Individual submissions and club submissions are extremely important.

No use complaining about it after the fact, Act Now!! ...... read the whole Propeller talk

Propeller Talk

Welcome back after the Christmas / New Year break. Hope you all had a great holiday and we look forward to those fishy and holiday destination stories. No use complaining about it after the fact, Act Now!! Have your say log on to Sea Bee’s forum Now!! I propose having an information night in the club early next year to discuss this issue and request you all turn up so we have a good roll up!!
Members from other clubs member and the community are very welcome to attend on this night so check the web and future indoor meetings for the date!

Any information that you may notice on the website that may need updating or added to the web, just contact one of the committee and we will try to fix it. Dave can not update the web site unless he gets the information to put on the web site.

Members needing club clothing kits or boat stickers / flags etc, contact Bill and put your order in, the quicker we get the nominated amount of orders the quicker members will receive them.
What is happening with the NEW SHIRTS?????

Lake Lyell ANSA Convention April 30th to 2nd May 2010 is fast approaching and we are asking for your help once again. Start asking your local tackle shops and even business asking for donations for the Convention. For those who donate we will hang there banner at the convention and help advertise there business. We need to know early next year if their name is to be included on the score card as there is a lead time to have these printed!

I will post a Flyer on the web site and forum regarding the Lake Lyell Convention which will include a letter to proprietors / managers of retail stores explaining about the Convention and seeking their support. PLEASE print it off and assist you Club to ensure a successful 2010 Lake Lyell Convention.
