Propeller Talk - That time has come again and I again have the duty of producing the propeller talk for our magazine. Again your committee has been busy with the general running of the club and with a few new ideas (some nearly coming off) such as the Garry Brown Harbour expo which was postponed till another day due to bad weather. Propeller Talk

That time has come again and I again have the duty of producing the propeller talk for our magazine. Again your committee has been busy with the general running of the club and with a few new ideas (some nearly coming off) such as the Garry Brown Harbour expo which was postponed till another day due to bad weather. Tom has been busy with the indoor program and the quality of talks continues to impress. Good to see few boats turn up for our safety field day at the improved wharf rd ramp, again we always seem to learn something new all the time. With new lifejacket regulations coming into force in November, it was interesting to get the heads up from the maritime officer, gives us all time to get used to the wearing or purchasing of lifejackets.

The weather has not been the best for outside fishing, but since most members now have smaller boats there is no excuse not to have a fish in some of the quieter areas such as Berowra or Appletree Bay. Will have to have a look at the outdoor program to schedule some different country areas to have a fish at, such as Nelsons Bay or Foster to the north or Ulladulla to the south. Was interesting to learn from one of the clubs foundation member Stan Cooper that the club celebrated its 35th anniversary at the last club meeting, and a BIG THANK YOU to Stan for coming along to share that info with us, Billy has a copy of the first magazine off Stan and we hope to make some copies for members. Good to also see the broken down members of our club slowly improving health wise, Laurie, Mick and Steve we wish you all the best.

Well its nearly time to have one of our major fundraisers for the year With two Bunning’s BBQ’s coming up in September so check out the dates in the magazine. On the issue of fund raising we have received o certificate of appreciation from West Mead Hospital for our $1000 donation to cancer research from our Lake Lyell Convention. Again the AGM is upon us so here is your chance to have a say, by running for a committee position, to maybe learn some new skills or share some of your own. Bill has been busy with the club clothing so if you have not ordered your kit or extra clothing please do so ASAP. This may be my last propeller talk so thanks for the chance to fill in for Ron till the AGM Again
